ABOUT PUXUAN

Puxuan Zhou, born and raised in Tianjin, China, discovered his passion for art at a young age, following fundamental drawing and painting practices in his youth. When his journey led him to the United States at 15, he continued to cultivate his artistic voice. Now based in New York, Zhou combines his fundamental fine art philosophy with emotion, aesthetics, and contemporary art elements. Having been granted his BFA degree at Parsons School of Design, Zhou’s work has been exhibited at Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Gallery in 2023.

 

Recently, Zhou's artistic toolkit has extended beyond traditional mediums, encompassing 3D modeling, VR, digital drawing and painting, metal printing, and collages. These diverse mediums provide fresh avenues for expressing his emotions and ideas, utilizing shapes, textures, and innovative techniques.

 

In this exhibition, Zhou invites viewers to explore his multifaceted approach to art, navigating themes of memory, dreams, and human experiences. His art serves as a window into his inner world, where emotions and ideas intersect with technology and innovation. As he delves into VR and other mediums, he pushes the boundaries of expression, inviting viewers to join him on a journey of discovery. Reflecting on his artistic evolution, Zhou remarks, "Each medium offers a unique lens through which to express my innermost thoughts and feelings. Through experimentation and exploration, I strive to capture the essence of the human experience in its many forms."
